Always having a mindset of The Golden Rule as a fundamental ethical principle that states, "Treat others as you would want to be treated". It's also known as an ethics of reciprocity.
Self-improvement - Jiu-Jitsu is a journey of self-discovery and improvement, where practitioners are encouraged to refine their techniques and overcome challenges.
Patience - Patience is a virtue, and it's important to remember that not every situation has a clear right or wrong response.
Embracing change - Jiu-Jitsu can help people embrace change.
Compassion, love, and respect - Jiu-Jitsu can teach virtues like compassion, integrity, love, and respect, which can help people build strong characters and contribute to a more peaceful world.
Dealing with adversity - Jiu-Jitsu can help people learn to deal with adversity by transforming them in a way that helps them better face life's challenges.
Jiu-jitsu is also based on the concept that a smaller, weaker person can defend themselves against a larger, stronger opponent by using leverage, weight distribution, and other techniques.
Some key principles of Jiu-Jitsu include:
Control: Controlling an opponent's movements and limiting their options
Weight distribution: Understanding how to distribute your weight and pressure on your opponent

Regaining control over his life with Jiu Jitsu learning self love through discipline, compassion and respect for self and others. This has been a gift for his life and his wish is to serve the community by providing these ideas/skills to others. Coach Nick received his Blackbelt in 2024 from Wellington Leal Dias, known as Megaton Dias, is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) practitioner, and 7th degree coral belt of the Gracie Humaitá jiu-jitsu association under Royler Gracie.
